About

PHARMFORTE NETWORK LIMITED

Our History
Pharmforte Network Limited started operations on December 1st, 2004, in response to the need for professional middlemen in the Nigerian drug distribution system.

Over the years the company has grown to become a major player and a force to reckon with in the pharmaceutical distribution chain.

The history of drug distribution in Nigeria is peculiar. Drugs are sold freely in open markets, hawked in the streets, peddled by all manner of persons who have little or no relevant training at all. This is a major challenge for the healthcare sector. The government has tried to make laws to regulate the drug distribution but enforcing the laws has been a colossal failure. Pharmforte Network Limited ensures that genuine drugs and pharmaceuticals get to Pharmacies, Clinics/hospitals, and Institutions and ultimately to the patients.

Overview
Overview of Nigerian Drug Distribution Channel

The major challenge of drug distribution in Nigeria is faking. This has taken different dimension and shape. The hydra headed monster has pervaded our health sector and made futile so many efforts of government and private sector at ensuring that only wholesome products are marketed and sold in Nigeria.

The reason is simple. Drug is sold and handled by qualified and unqualified people. Pharmforte Network Ltd came into the scene to contribute its quota to sanitizing the drug distribution channel. That is, to connect manufacturers and importers of pharmaceutical products to pharmacies, hospitals, and Institutions and to ultimately help in improving the quality of healthcare delivery in Nigeria.

A second dimension to the drug distribution problem is that of storage. Often, products aren’t stored at recommended conditions especially where temperatures restrictions are involved, thus the integrity of the products is compromised before they get to the pharmacies and hospitals. Pharmforte Network Limited ensures that products are optimally stored and quality guaranteed until they are handed over to customers thus Pharmforte Network Ltd is a bridge between manufacturers and importers on one side and the retail pharmacies, hospitals, and institutions on the other.

In a bid to expand its reach, Pharmforte Network limited is now registering and marketing its own brand of good quality generics at affordable prices. This started with three products in 2011 and more are currently being worked on to increase the portfolio.
